Speech, Learning & Psychology Services likes to solve learning puzzles.  Just like the pictured toy train above, all of a child's skills will only work well when the individual speech, learning and behavior pieces are put together properly. These identified skills, fully assembled, provide a complete and usable profile. 

Speech, Learning & Psychology Services knows that childhood speech-language, learning, and developmental issues are on the rise.  Incidences of developmental          disabilities like autism and  asperger syndrome, or processing disorders and even speech problems such as stuttering, have increased dramatically. Symptoms can be confusing  and can impact behavior or cause loss of self-esteem.  Intervention is crucial.

Solving the puzzle is the first step.

that will provide a blueprint for each student to have academic success and positive peer/adult relationships.  

Did you know that well over 80% of all learning disabilities are language disorders? Did you also know that students who appear to have emotional problems can have underlying communication or learning deficits?  Children with learning problems or speech disorders can often appear lazy, angry, resentful, or depressed. Birth to 2 years

2-4 Years

4-6 Years
  1. poor articulation of 2 or more sounds

7-9 Years

10-Adult

For many children, over time emotional issues increase and may even surpass the underlying learning disorder, eventually creating life problems.
